Today we're going to show you the Blue Ox seven wire to four wire coiled electrical cord, part number BX88254. We have it together here and you can see that our coils are tied together, and it's just about a foot long. This will actually expand or stretch out to about seven feet. Now we'll take a look at its seven-pole end here. This is designed to work with your RV. The other end is designed to plug into your car that you're towing behind the RV.
It also comes with a provided four-pole connector as well. Now this does not come with a bracket to hold it in place, or the hardware, so you need to supply that on your own. Now all the wires and cables are encased in a silicone-based material. That will finish it for the Blue Box seven to four-way coiled electrical cord, part number BX88254. .

It has held up very well so far. My 2 previous Blue Ox coiled electrical cords started stretching out, discoloring and deteriorating after about 2 years of use each time.
Hopefully they have improved so I can give them another excellent review in about another year.
This cord is a replacement for the same model. The previous cord became brittle after constant exposure to the weather. Only the exterior sheathing was damaged with no issues with the conductors inside. The replacement is stored when not in use and remains in like new condition. The original serves as a backup.
Very professional to deal with
We've owned a few of these, and they've been fine. Our hook-up requires that the cord be pulled pretty tight, and we use small bungees at both ends to keep it plugged in when traveling, and to keep it from dragging down the road if it should become detached. We've had it happen, and the cord was ruined.
We would like to find a longer one but have not seen such an item for sale. A wire came loose a few months back, in the 'tow car' end. A simple fix.
These are the best cords we've found.

Well made product. Received on time as-promised, well packaged and no damage. Good craftsmanship and quality components very evident and it works as advertised.

Using this product for over a year now and It is working great... as it should. I STILL like doing business with eTrailer.
We were having a hard time finding a replacement cord to connect our motor home to our Jeep. Jeep dealer was not real helpful. I came across this site, they had what I needed shipped it promptly. It is great quality and works well. Even better than the previous one I had which did come from the Jeep dealer.

This was just what I was looking for and has worked great since I bought it a year. Really like the length for my motorhome-car connection; easy to install each time I get ready to hit the road. Thought about purchasing a second one to have on hand in case of an emergency.

This product is still working like it did when purchased. It shows no signs of wear...only road dirt and grime. Glad I purchased it.
I am very happy with my order from etrailer. I received the Blue Ox set up for my Jeep Wrangler and all were installed without a problem. Since, I have referred my friends to etrailer.
Don’t blame etrailer, but this Blue Ox cord has no instructions for wiring the receptacle. Other than that, the product is great!!!
allows me to quickly and easily go from the 7 wire plug on my motorhome to the 4 wire end on the light wiring harness I installed on my tow car. Good sturdy component.
Fits perfectly would’ve loved it if some kind of wiring diagram for a 4pin round trailer plug was included

Ordergin this electical connector is the first step in preparing my car for towing. It was the right plug for the existing socket that is already on my RV.
I purchased this item as a replacement and it works very well. I prefer the coiled cord over what I had before. I would recommend this item.

The Blue Ox BX88254 stretches to 7 feet long, but Hopkins offers a longer version, part # HM47043 which stretches to 8 feet long.
